Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, using, or interacting with The 2nd Amendment Responsibility Project ("2ARP," "we," "our," or "us"), including our website, membership application, communications, and community programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of all 2ARP services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, applicants, members, contributors, and any other users of 2ARP platforms.


2. Purpose of 2ARP

2ARP is a cultural movement of responsible American gun owners advancing safety, competence, maturity, and civic duty as the durable defense of the Second Amendment. Membership is selective and contingent upon adherence to our Standards and Code of Conduct.

2ARP does not provide legal advice, tactical instruction, or certification of firearm competence.


3. Eligibility

To apply for or maintain membership in 2ARP, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Be legally permitted to own or possess firearms
  • Provide truthful information during the application process
  • Agree to abide by the Standards and Code of Conduct

Providing false information at any stage is grounds for denial or revocation of membership.


4. Membership Application & Review Process

4.1 Application Content

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate, complete, and truthful.

4.2 AI-Assisted Review

Applications are reviewed using an AI-assisted process scored against the Standards and Code of Conduct. Borderline applications are escalated to human review. Applicants denied membership may request a human re-review by submitting a written appeal.

4.3 Membership Decisions

Membership decisions are final unless overturned through the appeal process. 2ARP reserves the right to deny or revoke membership at any time for violations of these Terms, the Standards, or the Code of Conduct.


5. Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

  • Uphold the Standards and Code of Conduct
  • Represent 2ARP responsibly in public and online
  • Maintain lawful and safe firearm practices
  • Avoid conduct that could harm the reputation or integrity of the community
  • Report violations or safety concerns when appropriate

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in suspension or revocation of membership.


6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other members or applicants
  • Use 2ARP platforms for political campaigning, commercial solicitation, or unrelated advocacy
  • Upload or transmit harmful code, malware, or disruptive content
  • Attempt to circumvent membership review or revocation processes
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with 2ARP
  • Use 2ARP content, branding, or materials without authorization

Any violation may result in immediate termination of access or membership.


7. Intellectual Property

All content on 2ARP platforms, including text, branding, logos, Standards, Code of Conduct, application questions, and educational materials, is owned by 2ARP and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.


8. Disclaimer of Warranties

2ARP provides all services "as is" and "as available."
We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

  • Accuracy or completeness of content
  • Suitability of information for any purpose
  • Safety outcomes related to firearm handling
  • Member behavior or competence
  • Continuous or error-free operation of the website

You acknowledge that firearm ownership carries inherent risks and that 2ARP does not certify or guarantee safe conduct.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2ARP is not liable for:

  • Any injury, harm, or damage resulting from firearm use or misuse
  • Actions taken by members, applicants, or third parties
  • Loss of data, profits, or goodwill
  • Website outages, errors, or security breaches
  • Decisions made based on information provided by 2ARP

Your use of 2ARP services is at your own risk.


10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 2ARP, its founders, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of 2ARP services
  • Your firearm-related conduct
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law

11. Privacy

Your use of 2ARP is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.


12. Termination

2ARP may suspend or terminate your access or membership at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these Terms or the Standards.

You may request voluntary termination of membership at any time.


13. Third-Party Services

2ARP may use third-party services such as Google reCAPTCHA for security. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and 2ARP is not responsible for their practices.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.


15. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, you agree to attempt informal resolution with 2ARP before pursuing legal action. Any unresolved disputes shall be handled through binding arbitration unless prohibited by law.


16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" indicates the latest version. Continued use of 2ARP services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
