The 2nd Amendment Responsibility Project

The 2nd Amendment Responsibility Project

Membership Revocation Policy

Effective Date: July 4th, 2026

1. Purpose

The 2nd Amendment Responsibility Project ("2ARP," "we," "our," or "us") is a curated community of responsible American gun owners. Membership is a privilege, not a right. This Membership Revocation Policy explains the grounds, process, and appeal rights for revoking or suspending membership.

2. Grounds for Revocation

2ARP may revoke or suspend membership when a member:

  • Violates the Terms of Service
  • Violates the Standards or Code of Conduct
  • Provides false or misleading information during the application process or afterward
  • Engages in unsafe, unlawful, or reckless firearm conduct
  • Engages in harassment, threats, or abuse toward other members, applicants, or the public
  • Uses 2ARP membership, branding, or affiliation for unauthorized political, commercial, or harmful purposes
  • Represents 2ARP in a way that damages the reputation or integrity of the community
  • Is convicted of a felony, domestic violence offense, or any crime that disqualifies lawful firearm possession
  • Becomes legally prohibited from owning or possessing firearms
  • Refuses to comply with a reasonable request from 2ARP leadership regarding conduct or safety

3. Investigation Process

Before revocation, 2ARP will conduct a reasonable review. This may include:

  • Reviewing reports, evidence, or public statements
  • Contacting the member for a written response
  • Consulting internal reviewers or subject-matter experts
  • Reviewing the member's application and history with the project

The member will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond, except in cases where delay would create a clear safety or legal risk.

4. Decision and Notice

After review, 2ARP will decide whether to:

  • Take no action
  • Issue a formal warning
  • Suspend membership for a defined period
  • Revoke membership permanently

The member will be notified in writing via the email address on file. The notice will include the general basis for the decision and whether an appeal is available.

5. Effect of Revocation

Upon revocation or suspension:

  • The member loses all membership privileges and access
  • The member may no longer represent themselves as a 2ARP member
  • The member may not reapply without explicit written permission
  • 2ARP may remove the member from public member directories, communications, or events

Revocation does not relieve the member of any legal, financial, or personal responsibility arising from their own conduct.

6. Appeals

A member may appeal a revocation or suspension by submitting a written request within 30 days of the notice. The appeal must include:

  • The member's full name and email address
  • The date of the revocation or suspension notice
  • A clear statement of the grounds for appeal
  • Any new evidence or information not previously considered

Appeals should be sent to:

[email protected]

2ARP will review the appeal and respond within a reasonable timeframe. The appeal decision is final.

7. Reapplication

A revoked member may request permission to reapply after a minimum of 12 months from the date of revocation. Reapplication is not guaranteed and will be evaluated as a new application, with full disclosure of the prior revocation.

8. No Refunds

Membership is free. If 2ARP ever accepts voluntary contributions, no refunds will be issued upon revocation or suspension.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Membership Revocation Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates when the latest version was published. Continued membership after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
