The 2nd Amendment Responsibility Project
Responsibility Is How
Our Rights Endure.
Rights & Responsibilities
Rights endure only when the people who hold them demonstrate that they deserve them. This is the work of every responsible gun owner - at home, on the range, and in our communities. The 2nd Amendment Responsibility Project exists to make that work visible, organized, and self-reinforcing with every generation.
Know Where You Stand
What We Are. What We Are Not.
This movement is not for everyone - and that is by design.
Before you read another page, know exactly what we are committing to, and what we refuse to become.
We Are
- A culture of responsibility - defined, lived, and reinforced by those who already practice it.
- A movement by responsible American gun owners.
- A standard-setting body defining what responsible ownership looks like in practice.
- A curated community built on safety, competence, maturity, and civic duty.
- A voice for the responsible majority - the broad center that already lives this every day.
We Are Not
- A political lobby. We do not endorse candidates or chase legislation.
- Trolls or bullies. We do not exist to argue, harass, shout, or demean other viewpoints.
- An open forum. Membership is selective. Standards are non-negotiable.
- A platform for extremism, recklessness, or bravado. Those are the very things we exist to overcome.
