How We Show Up
What We Do - and What We Don't
Clear boundaries. Honest work. A movement that knows what it is for - and refuses to become what it is not.
The Work
What We Do
We define the standard. The Standards and the Code of Conduct are the foundation. They describe what responsible ownership looks like in practice, not in theory. Every member is expected to read them, understand them, and live by them.
We model the culture. The movement grows when responsible gun owners are visibly, publicly, and consistently responsible. That means safe handling, regular training, secure storage, mature judgment, and civic respect - in person, online, and at the range.
We mentor and correct. Responsibility is learned and reinforced. Members are expected to help newer owners build good habits, challenge unsafe behavior when they see it, and receive correction with humility when they fall short.
We speak for ourselves. The project gives the responsible majority of gun owners a clear, articulate voice. We do not outsource that voice to commentators, celebrities, or organizations that do not live the standard.
We organize for accountability. Membership is curated. Conduct matters. The movement is stronger because the people inside it hold one another to the same bar - and because the standard applies equally to the founder, the board, and every member.
The Boundaries
What We Don't Do
We do not lobby or endorse. The project is not a political action group, a PAC, or an industry advocate. We do not endorse candidates, fund campaigns, or press for specific legislation. The work is cultural, not legislative.
We do not issue credentials. The project is not a training body and does not certify instructors or courses. We point members toward competence, and we leave credentialing to the qualified organizations that already do that work.
We do not sell firearms or gear. There is no store, no affiliate model, and no product promotion. Commercial interests compromise the clarity of the standard, and this project is not a marketplace.
We do not debate for sport. Public engagement is not about winning arguments online. It is about demonstrating, through conduct and example, that responsible gun ownership is a real and repeatable standard.
We do not tolerate recklessness. Members who violate the standards in ways that endanger others or damage the movement's credibility are subject to revocation. No one is above the standard.
